Zhuyin-fuhao meaning

A phonetic alphabet used to transcribe Mandarin for students of that language and for inputting Chinese, used in Taiwan, shortened as Zhuyin; also known as bopomofo from the first letters of the alphabet: ㄅ ㄆ ㄇ ㄈ (bo po mo fo). Hanyu pinyin romanisation "zhùyīn fúhào" written in Zhuyin becomes ㄓㄨˋ ㄧㄣ ㄈㄨˊ ㄏㄠˋ.
