Mer, Francis

As of this printing, the Finance Minister of France, whose official title is the Minister of the Economy, Finance, and Industry. Mer has been Chairman of the National Association for Technical Research since 1991. From October 1997 to October 1998, he was Chairman of the International Iron and Steel Institute. He also was chairman of Eurofer, the European steel manufacturers’ association, from 1990 to 1997.
