Java Telephony Application Programming Interface - Computer Definition
A cross-platform, multivendor computer telephony (CT) solution based on Java, JTAPI uses highly efficient applets, which are small sets of application program code, for network-based CT operation. JTAPI added Internet/intranet functionality to CT, thereby enabling the creation of Web-based applications that integrate browser applications with call center functionality. JTAPI was developed jointly by Sun Microsystems, Lucent Technologies, IBM, and Nortel.
