Big Crunch Definition
One of three possible end points of the expanding universe according to the Big Bang theory, when the expansion of space-time initiated at the Big Bang decelerates to a stop and then contracts, causing the universe to collapse.
(astronomy) A singularity at the centre of a black hole, or the final result of the Big Crunch.
