press-up Usage Examples

  • perform: A simple example is to perform 10 press-ups between each exercise.
  • do: He did 3000 press-ups each morning whilst throwing a medicine ball into a hoop using his muscular backside.
  • complete: He broke over fifty other world records, and ran from John O'Groats to Land's End completing 100 press-ups every mile.

Adjective modifier

  • plyometric: By the fifth training session all subjects were able to perform a full plyometric press-up using the correct technique.
  • full: You may struggle at first, so start by doing them on your knees, then progress to a full press-up.
  • normal: This extra workload makes the plyometric push-up much tougher than the normal press-up.
  • more: After some banter with Mr McNulty the final three had to flex their muscles by doing more press-ups.
