Telephone service that is delivered through telephone lines. Wireline service contrasts with wireless service, which doesn’t require that the phone be connected to a telephone line.
Referring to a service that connects to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) through a local loop of copper wire or glass fiber that terminates in a fixed location at a customer premises.
