An erotic communication between two people online via text, audio or video chat. The earliest cybersex was text-based in chat rooms, and role playing was common since nobody saw the other party; for example, a 50-year-old man could pretend to be an 18-year-old woman. However, with the advent of Skype and other video calling applications, cybersex has become more visual, and hiding one's identity is not an option.
