My gym does n't have a squat rack or power cage whence the usage of the Smith 's machine.
To exercise, stand in front of a squat rack with your feet about shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent and your back straight.
Secure a bar in a squat rack and load it up.
It's also recommended to have a weight or squat rack where your barbells will rest until you begin.
Stand inside the squat rack and adjust it so the barbell is slightly higher than your shoulders.
