Hockey is a sport played on watered turf, it is played 11 players per team and 2 umpires per game. It has a half way, two 23yard lines and a half circle around each goal, known as the 'D'. The feild is 100 yards long and 30yards wide. It is played internationally by many countries. It is a winter sport, played by girls and boys through out all ages. A hockey stick is used to play, usually made from fiber glass or wood. Should come up to belly button on player and has a small hook on the bottom. Stick is slightly curved. A white ball is used to play. Players must wear shinguards and mouthguards throught the whole game.
