conclusion of law Law Definition
n
An inference reached by applying substantive law to the facts. For example,
unless there is an express or implied warranty or products liability law that
applies to Jones bicycle, the substantive legal principle known as caveat emptor will prevent Jones from
holding the seller of the bicycle liable for the bikes flat tire. See also conclusion of fact and findings of fact.
