• femoral: The relationship of the patella to the femoral trochlear is well shown.

Modifies a noun

• groove: In these cases the patella can be easily lifted out of, and replaced back into the trochlear groove on the femur.
• ridge: Another distinctive feature of the femur is the broad groove between the two trochlear ridges located distally.
• notch: The challenge is to obtain stable fixation of the ulna without violating the trochlear notch with screws.
