T-30 definitions

An ITU-T specification, published in 1996, describing the handshaking protocol used between Group III/IV facsimile machines to establish and maintain communications.T.30 also provides for routing faxes to users via subaddresses or fax mailboxes. An ITU standard for Group 3 fax machines that specifies the handshaking, protocols and error correction. T.4 and T.30, which were introduced in 1980, make up the complete standard for Group 3 fax. See T.4, T.37 and T.38.
