Personal-radio-services meaning

In the United States, a class of short-range, low-power radio services for personal and business communications and signaling applications. Some personal radio services must be licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), while others only require the use of authorized equipment. Personal radio services include 218-219 MHz Service, Citizens Band (CB) Radio Service, Family Radio Service (FRS), General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS), Low Power Radio Service (LPRS), Medical Implant Communications Service (MICS), Multi-Use Radio Service (MURS), Personal Locator Beacons (PLB), Radio Control Radio Service (R/C), and Wireless Medical Telemetry Service (WMTS).
