Stretch Armstrong was an action figure released by Kenner in 1976.
Kenner as special commissioner to the courts of England and France to obtain recognition of the Confederacy on condition of the abolition of slavery.
Kenner marketed the toy to children over the age of five.
However, in 1983, Kenner decided to make them into stuffed bears complete with their own insignia on the tummy.
Before long, toy manufacturer Kenner took the lead, creating plush bears that emulated the artistic designs once seen only on birthday cards.
