An enhanced version of Web server technology that provides many advanced features including link consistency and the ability to search multiple servers. Regular Web browsers can access Hyper-G servers, and Hyper-G browsers can access other Web servers as well as Gopher servers. Hyper-G browsers, such as Harmony and Amadeus, also allow for editing. Hyper-G is a superset of the Internet Gopher technology and was developed at the Graz University of Technology in Austria in the early 1990s. See Hyperwave Information Server.
