(Full High Definition) A screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, which is the HDTV standard. Most TVs over 32" have FHD (Full HD) resolution, as well as most laptop and desktop computer screens. FHD, "Full HD" and "Full HDTV" mean progressive scan 1080p resolution, not interlaced 1080i. The terms are typically used to contrast TVs with 1,080 lines versus those with the lower HD standard of 720 lines. See DTV, 1080p, 4K TV and screen resolution.
