XAUI (10 Gigabit Attachment Unit Interface) Telecom Definition
The physical layer chip interface specified for 10 Gbps Ethernet (10 GbE) in 802.3ae. The AUI defines the manner in which an Ethernet cable physically attaches to a network interface card (NIC).
