W-2
W-2 Finance Definition
A
federal tax form that is prepared by employers for employees to use in filing
an income tax return. It states the total amount of wages paid during the

including Social Security tax. W-2s must be sent to taxpayers by the end of
January. Taxpayers then send the W-2 to the IRS along with their tax return.
