Thunder, Susan and Kevin Mitnick Case Hacker Definition

(legal case)

Susan Thunder was one of the early phreakers. Along with Kevin Mitnick, she broke into telephone lines in the 1970s, much to the discontent of Ma Bell. Susan exploded the popular myth at that time that only men can lead in the toughest of battles—be they on ground or online. When Kevin Mitnick and his brother Ron were eventually arrested for cracking activities, Susan was allowed to walk free if she agreed to serve as a witness against Kevin and Ron. Susan agreed to this arrangement. Later, Susan called herself a security expert and was known to demonstrate how she could crack military computers. Some say that Susan, an attractive woman, was especially good at social engineering. Susan is allegedly now a professional poker player.
