A security mechanism based on IEEE 802.11i,WPA was designed by the Wi-Fi Alliance to replace the flawed Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) for 802.11b, aka Wi-Fi, wireless LANs (WLANs).WPA2 includes an encryption algorithm based on Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), which employs a 128-bit block cipher that is considered to be completely secure.
