traffic contract definition - telecom
In asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), the specification of all characteristics of a connection negotiated between a source endpoint and an ATM network. Traffic parameters are descriptions of the traffic characteristics of a source endpoint, including peak cell rate (PCR), sustainable cell rate (SCR), maximum burst size (MBS), maximum frame size (MFS), and minimum cell rate (MCR).
