splice tray

splice tray definition - telecom
A plastic or metal tray used to organize splices between metallic or glass conductors at a splice point where two cables are spliced, or joined together. In an outside plant (OSP) application, the splice tray typically is housed in a protective splice case. See also splice and splice case.
