Also known as the E-rate Program. In the United States, a program administered by the Schools and Libraries Corporation (SLC) to make telecommunications service, Internet access, and internal connections affordable for eligible schools and libraries.The Schools and Libraries Program is one of four programs established by the Telecommunications Act of 1996, supported by the Universal Service Fund (USF), and administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC).
