SCE

SCE definition - telecom
In the intelligent network (IN), a set of modular programming tools permitting services to be developed independently of the switch, thereby divorcing the service-specific programmed logic from the switch logic. This enables the service to be developed independently and be made available to all switches in the network. The concept of a sparse network is one of dumb switches supported by centralized intelligence with connectivity between distributed switches and centralized logic provided over high-speed digital circuits.
