quadraplex definition - telecom
A circuit or device that supports simultaneous transmission or reception of four independent signals. Quadraplex communications technology is a simple form of multiplexing that improved on diplex (two independent signals) and was considered quite revolutionary in the early days of telegraphy, when the four signals could be transmitted in one direction, only.The term is generally considered obsolete.
