point-to-point circuit
point-to-point circuit definition - telecom
A dedicated circuit that directly connects exactly two devices. Point-to-multipoint circuits generally are phrased in the context of a wide area network (WAN), and generally are provided as a carrier service. As an example, Digital Data Service (DDS) circuits are configured as either point-to-point or point-to-multipoint. See Figure P-5. See also point-to-multipoint circuit and unicast.
