PM definition - telecom
  1. Phase Modulation. More commonly known as phase-shift keying (PSK). See PSK.
  2. Physical Medium. In the ATM reference model, and other OSI-like models, a Physical Layer sublayer that specifies the physical and electro-optical interfaces with the transmission media. The PM also provides timing functions. See also ATM reference model and Physical Layer.
