PCN definition - telecom
- Also known as DCS 1800 (Digital Cellular System 1800). An upbanded version of GSM, the pan-European digital cellular radio system. PCN operates in the 1800 MHz (1.8 GHz) range, rather than the 900 MHz range of GSM. See also GSM.
- A concept originally developed in the United Kingdom, and known generically as PCS (Personal Communications Services). See PCS.
