pay-per-view definition - telecom
A system by which cable television (CATV) subscribers can purchase the right to view sporting events, feature-length films, and other special programming. Pay-per-view generally is available only over CATV systems, with the greatest selections over broadband CATV systems. See also broadband and CATV.
