non-repudiation definition - telecom
Referring to a mechanism that proves that the originating node sent a message and that the receiving node received it.Therefore, the sender cannot deny sending the message and the receiver cannot deny having received it. Non-repudiation can be effected through digital signatures, confirmation receipts, and timestamps. See also digital signature.
