MFS definition - telecom
In asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), a traffic parameter describing the maximum size of a protocol data unit (PDU), or frame, supported by the network. MFS relates specifically to the guaranteed frame rate (GFR) service category. See also ATM, frame, GFR, PDU, and traffic parameter.
