MBS definition - telecom
In asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), a traffic parameter describing the maximum number of consecutive cells that can transmit within the peak cell rate (PCR), given the burst tolerance (BT), or burst cell tolerance (BCT), of the network. See also ATM, BCT, BT, cell, PCR, and traffic parameter.
