LDP definition - telecom
In Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), a protocol used by a Label Edge Router (LER) to distribute labels, or tags, to each Label Switching Router (LSR) in the network core, identifying the treatment that should be afforded all packets in the flow on that particular Label Switched Path (LSP).
