IPX/SPX definition - telecom
The Network Layer (Layer 3) and Transport Layer (Layer 4) protocols in Novell NetWare. IPX/SPX is similar to TCP/IP, but is not industry standard and has been overwhelmed by the TCP/IP protocol suite. Novell currently supports the TCP/IP protocol suite.
