IAB definition - telecom
Originally known as the Internet Activities Board.A technical advisory group of the Internet Society (ISOC) that provides oversight for the architecture for the protocols and procedures used by the Internet. The IAB supervises the activities the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF). In combination, those organizations set policy and direction.The IAB comprises 13 expert individuals who use the resources of their sponsoring companies to further the interests of the Internet.
