HiperMAN definition - telecom
A broadband wireless local loop (WLL) access technology specified in the Broadband Radio Access Networks (BRAN) project chartered by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). HiperMAN operates below 11 GHz, and mainly in the 3.5 GHz band, and is intended to seamlessly interoperate with IEEE 802.16, aka WiMAX. See also 802.16, BRAN, broadband, ETSI, IEEE, WiMAX, and WLL.
