FRND definition - telecom
Pronounced friend. A device at the edge of the frame relay carrier network that provides the user network interface (UNI).The FRND connects across a digital local loop, such as an E-1 or T1, to the frame relay access device (FRAD) on the customer premises. See also carrier, E-1, FRAD, frame relay, local loop, T1, and UNI.
