fast retrain definition - telecom
A feature of asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) modems that allows the transmission rate to resume normal levels after having been reduced by the power back-off feature in order to avoid interference between voice and data channels. See ADSL, modem, power back-off, and transmission rate.
