EOC
EOC definition - telecom
- A control channel integral to the T-carrier extended superframe (ESF) frame format for network management purposes and embedded in the framing bits (one bit per frame).
- In ISDN, a basic rate interface (BRI) facility depends on the EOC from the central office (CO) to command the NT1 device for purposes of network management and testing. See also channel, CO, ESF, framing bit, ISDN, network management, and NT1.
