ECSD definition - telecom
In Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE) cellular radio networks, an enhancement of the native Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) circuit-switching protocol. ECSD adds 8-Phase Shift Keying (8-PSK) as a modulation option, thereby increasing the efficiency of data transmission and yielding greater throughput.
