DSB
DSB definition - telecom
The process of amplitude modulation (AM) results in the creation of two sidebands. An upper sideband is above the carrier frequency and a lower sideband is below the carrier frequency. DSB transmission uses both sidebands at full power. Single sideband (SSB) transmission suppresses one of the sidebands. See also AM, amplitude, carrier, frequency, modulation, sideband, SSB, and VSB.
