DAS

DAS definition - telecom
A station attached to both rings of a Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI) LAN. The cost of dual attachment generally reserves this approach for servers and routers. Lesser devices such as workstations are single attached. See also FDDI, LAN, and station.
