Captioned Telephone Service

Captioned Telephone Service definition - telecom
A Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) that involves a special telephone with a text display. Rather than using TTY technology, the called party's speech is re-voiced by the communications assistant (CA), converted into text by a voice recognition system, and transmitted directly to the callers display telephone.
