camp-on definition - telecom
A voice telephone system feature that enables the system attendant to forward or extend a call to a station, even if the station is engaged in a call. Camp-on essentially is much like call waiting, although the camped-on call will be routed back to the attendant if not answered within a programmable time interval. See also call waiting.
