Altos Aloha Network definition - telecom
The original name for Ethernet. The experimental technology originally connected Altos computers through a network based on the AlohaNet packet radio system technology developed at the University of Hawaii. In 1973, it became known as Ethernet, from luminiferous ether. See also ether and Ethernet.
