802.15 definition - telecom
The IEEE medium access control (MAC) and Physical Layer (PHY) specifications for wireless personal area networks (WPANs). Bluetooth is formalized in 802.15.1 (2002). 802.15.4 is the specification for a low-data-rate WPAN comprising devices of very low complexity transmitting at very low power levels and very long battery life.
