T+3 Finance Definition
Three days after a security has been purchased and the trade settles. Thus T+3 is the trade date plus 3 days and is the typical time it takes for both parties to receive their respective money or securities. The securities industry has a goal to reach T+1 (trade date plus 1 day) by 2004. T+0 indicates settlement at the end of the day.
T.3 Telecom Definition
A set of standards for facsimile (fax) machines published by the ITU-T in 1978. Machines conforming to T.2 later became known as Group II. See also facsimile, Group II, ITU-T, T.2, T.4, and T.6.
