soft market Finance Definition
A
market in which there is little demand and an excess of supply, creating
downward pressure on prices. In a financial market, a soft market consists of
low volumes and wide differences between the selling price and the purchase
price (called the bid-ask spread).
Also called a buyerÂ’s market.
