Sicyon
(sĭshˈē-ŏnˌ, sĭsˈ-)
An ancient city of southern Greece in the northeast Peloponnesus near the Gulf of Corinth. It reached the height of its power under the tyrant Cleisthenes in the sixth century B.C.
