Sempron - Computer Definition
AMD's value line of CPU chips, which compete with Intel's Celeron line. Introduced as 32-bit chips in 2004, Semprons initially replaced AMD's Duron CPUs, and the Mobile Sempron was made for laptops. Available today in two- and four-core 64-bit models, the Sempron line designated 1xx are lower-power CPUs, while the 2xx models have higher clock rates. See AMD.
